Passkeys are a password replacement that provide faster, easier, and more secure sign-ins to websites and apps across a user’s devices.
Passkeys are a replacement for passwords. A password is something that can be remembered and typed, and a passkey is a secret stored on one’s devices, unlocked with biometrics.
TLDR your Browser, operating system, or password manager will detect and prompt to present a secure key to the server instead of using a password.
