Set up Matrix <--> Discord Bridge

I have now heard from a couple of people that they are uncomfortable with using non-open Discord chat, which runs our primary Fission chat.

We do have a Matrix community setup – with a lobby and a feeds room that cross posts from the forum RSS.

We can look at setting up a bridge. I’m sort of debating between Matrix and Gitter. Will look into it – if anyone has good bridge links, leave a comment!

I think Matrix scales better to larger numbers of people, different channels, etc. And also better security/privacy, that kind of thing, so that’s my vote :slight_smile:

Gitter is owned by Element and will be running the Matrix protocol :wink:
